to Malcolm X College's Assessment Committee Blog.
Mission Statement - “The Assessment Committee is the body of an institution of higher learning that promotes conscious efforts to ensure accountability in effective learning and teaching.”
Vision Statement - We are a collaborative, interdisciplinary entity within Malcolm X College founded on the premises of creating and developing systematic monitoring of academic assessment. We serve in the capacity of providing integrity, accountability, and assurance to maintain effective student learning.
Our Commitments - Align student outcomes with the mission of the college. Communicate across the disciplines. Identify academic needs for enhancement and growth. Develop planning and implementation of informational resources. Capitalize on instructional and faculty resources. Ensure quality instruction for professional and academic preparedness.
Our Focus - Be a premier example of a functional assessment system. Centralize assessment around instructional delivery and pedagogy. Support institutional aims of assessment at multiple levels. Maintain an assessment centered culture. Provide effective leadership on assessment education.
